Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were nice and not overly large, but they had quality bedding and towels. The complimentary tea/coffee tray, along with a very good bottle of Prosecco and strawberries, was a great touch after a full day. The only slight drawback was the pillows, which could have been better. My children loved watching the boats go by at breakfast.
The hotel had a peaceful and pretty setting, giving a rural vibe in a modern part of the property. The rooms could use curtains for more privacy due to being over the main entrance, which made it a bit noisy with guests passing by. The service was overall excellent but the WIFI quality fell short. The location, ideal for a quiet weekend by the river, was stunning but needs refurbishment. The dining experience offered a buffet with good options but maybe overpriced for what was served.
My stay at the hotel was very standard overall, with good aspects and areas that could have been improved. The rooms were very good, spacious, and offered a beautiful view of the grounds, but they could have been warmer with central heating. The service was exceptional, with staff being incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive, making me feel like part of a family. The location was picturesque, right beside the river and surrounded by parkland, perfect for special events, although not ideal for those looking for a central Bedford location. The dining experience was good overall, with hot and delicious food, but improvements could be made with quicker table clearing. The facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.
